      Admission to the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program is contingent on the completion of a baccalaureate degree and all prerequisite course work from a regionally accredited U.S. college or university. Individuals should have completed the majority of the science course requirements and have GRE scores prior to the application deadline of October 1. Physical Education is an important and unique part of the daily instructional program. Not only does it contribute to the overall goals of education by recognizing that healthy minds and bodies go hand in hand, it’s specifically vital to the development and maintenance of motor skills, social skills, health, and brain development.

      Helping all children get 60 minutes of physical activity every day. Experts recommend at least 60 minutes of daily physical activity for children. Physical activity provides important benefits for children, such as reducing the risk of obesity, building strong bones and muscles, and improving academic performance. The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) () includes physical education and health education as part of a Iowa program of physical education for boys education that should be offered to all students. Physical education and health education have positive associations with academic growth and achievement, attention and concentration, and lifetime healthy habits.
